Your image stays in this browser; it is not uploaded to a server.

WebP often gives smaller files. PNG may be larger than the original.

Smaller file Higher quality

Leave dimensions empty to keep the original size. When both dimensions are entered, the image is fitted within them if aspect ratio is enabled.

Your selected image is processed locally in your browser. It is not sent to a compression server by this tool.

Step-by-Step Worked Example

Open the Utilivox Image Compressor tool.
Click the upload area and select an image from your device.
Choose your preferred output format, such as WebP, JPEG, or PNG.
Adjust the compression quality. For example, select 75% for a balance between image quality and file size.
Optionally enter the desired width and height to resize the image.
Click Compress Image to process your photo.
Check the original size, compressed size, and space saved in the results panel.
Click Download Compressed Image to save the optimized file.

Example: If your original image is 2 MB and the compressed image is 800 KB, you save approximately 60% of the original file size. Actual results depend on the image, format, dimensions, and quality settings.

Important Considerations & Limitations

Compression results vary depending on the original image and selected settings.
WebP and JPEG are lossy formats, so lower quality settings may reduce visual detail.
PNG output may be larger than the original image.
GIF animation and some image-specific features may not be preserved when converting through a browser canvas.
Transparency may be lost when converting transparent images to JPEG.
AVIF and other image formats depend on browser support.
Very large images may require substantial device memory and processing time.
Images are processed locally in the browser by this tool; no server-side image compression is performed.
The tool supports image files up to 50 MB.
Compression does not guarantee a smaller file in every case.
